Bethel Kids Vote

Every year the City of Bethel holds a Regular Election, the first Tuesday of October. The purpose of this election is to vote on city council members and proposition questions relevant to the community.

The City, in partnership with the Lower Kuskokwim School District and Dominion Voting are able to expand our vote program to community members of all ages through Kids Vote. While the process will look a bit different at every school, the outcome is that everyone in the City will have an opportunity to cast a ballot during an election season.

The goal of this program is to help improve the understanding and participation in the election process. By introducing this to students early on and making it a regular part of their year, we anticipate many will continue to participate in voting when they are adults.
